Our Story
Our History
Mar Thoma Social action was founded by Rev. K S Mathew, the then vicar of the St Thoma Mar Thoma Church, Karol Bagh New Delhi in 1984. Started with humble beginnings with the group of youths for medical aid in the slums of Sanjay Colony in Sameypur badli.
Soon it extended to support children in these areas with remedial classes for their schooling covering pre-school and non-formal education.
In 2000, MTSA Formally registered as a NGO. Expanding our wings to several initiatives including - Vocational Skills and Women Empowerment through SHG (Self Help Groups) through micro finance.
In 2010, with support of the parishers a new administrative building was operationalized at Swaroop nagar.
In 2013 computer education program was commenced which now runs in the computer lab at the administrative building
Early Beginnings started with medical aid for poor 
Soon identified slums in North West Delhi to extend education to children 
Remedial, primary Schooling for slum children at multiple locations 
Skill Development through tailoring classes 
Skill development through Computer course 
Self Help Groups towards Women empowerment
